What You'll Do:
We ensure that summer students work in smaller groups in a working environment that is informal, fun, international, and rich in knowledge. Each group develops ideas for an existing product, further development, or creates new products. Brainstorming takes place in groups and close dialogue with specialists at Volue and our customers. We are working closely with our customers to create solutions, insights, and services that are suited to their needs. The students will have the same opportunity.

TEAM INSIGHT
If you have a background and interest in software engineering, data science, and market analysis – this is your team! You’ll work on projects with the ultimate goal of providing our customers with the best possible insights into the energy market. You will gain valuable experience working on real-world projects with a team of talented and experienced data scientists, market analysts, and software engineers. You can expect to work in teams, use Python, and follow an agile workflow with standups, code reviews, etc.
TEAM DIGITAL WATER
If you have a background and interest in this combination: software engineering + data science + water – this is your team for the summer 2024! You’ll work on projects where the ultimate goal is to provide our customers with the best possible insights into the water industry and how digitalisation of processes can facilitate the green transition and assist water professionals in making resource-efficient and data driven choices. You will gain valuable experience working on real-world projects with a team of talented and experienced data scientists, software engineers and our water experts. You can expect to work in teams and the tasks will be tailored to relevant candidates.
TEAM POWER GRID, DEVELOPMENT
If you have a background and interest in software engineering, workflow automation andsmart usage of the power grid – this is your team! You’ll work on projects where the ultimate goal is to provide our customers with the best possible experience on their journey towards renewable and stable power. You will gain valuable experience working on real-world projects with a team of motivated and experienced software engineer, software architects and power grid domain experts. You can expect to work in teams, do real coding on high valuable projects, follow an agile process and learn best practices work flow for creating high quality software, etc.”
TEAM POWER GRID, CONSULTANCY
If you have a background and interest in technology, renewable energy, electrical power distribution, or geography/GIS, combined with knowledge in scripting/programming (e.g. Python), then Team Power Grid would be the team for you! You will gain valuable experience working on real-world projects with a team of talented and experienced consultants. The projects will aim to improve our services and deliveries to critical infrastructure for electrical grid companies in Norway and rest of Scandinavia.
TEAM ENERGY SOLUTIONS
If you have a background and interest in energy and technology and background from
energy/power engineering or mathematical engineering, combined with IT Completence then Team Energy Solutions is for you! You will be a part of our team delivering a comprehensive suite of decision support tools for power production planning, optimization and trading to energy companies.
Our summer program lasts for nine weeks, during which time there is a 3-week holiday. The program starts in the middle of June and ends in August.
The workplace for these internships will be in one of Volue's office locations: in Trondheim, Arendal, or Oslo.

If you will be joining our Program in Trondheim, you will also be a part of summerjob-project Workation which offers a unique summer program. Usually the program includes lots of activities – Høyt & Lavt klatrepark, Escape Room, beer tasting in ØX, free of charge for its participants. This program is a great opportunity to expand your professional network and make new friends!
