The Hydro Graduate Program - The starting point for your Hydro career
In Hydro we have focus on hiring and developing the workforce of tomorrow. Every year we have several Graduate positions, where we are looking for young professionals early in their careers. All positions are permanent, within different business units and areas of expertise, but all graduate positions will take part in the graduate program.
Graduate Mechanical Engineer- Årdal
The Technology and Operational Support (TOS) unit is part of Hydro’s Aluminium Metal business area and has around 180 employees in Norway and Germany. The main task of TOS is to support commercial and operational units in improving Aluminium Metal’s profitability and sustainability in the short and medium term - while also having longer term technology development as a core activity.
Area of responsibility
In this position you will actively contribute to Hydro’s sustainability, profitability and improvement agenda, where process optimization, research and technology development are of high importance. You will be part of a team that develops and supports aluminium electrolysis cell technology to secure efficiency, optimal operation and safety, and that implements new technology at Hydro's smelters in Norway and abroad.
The tasks will include project participation/management where his/her competence is needed, development of group competence within your field of expertise, promoting cooperation, active communication and knowledge sharing between plants, process owners within TOS and across units.
